Quote of the Day

As we were getting out of the car to shop today Cooper said " Mom, my teeth are getting cold."
The imaginations of kids are priceless.

Snow, Snow and Yet More Snow

Cooper was anxious to go outside and help his dad shovel the driveway. A few months ago he could not stand the sight of snow and now we can't keep him out of it. I guess this is great training for when he is older......and it is great bonding time for Jon and Cooper.

Sleepy Time

Sometimes it is nice to just watch your kids sleep and know that they are safe with you. It is hard not to worry about them these days. And to imagine we are going to have two of these beautiful people, if only they could stay this age.

26 Weeks

I went to visit the doctor this week and he said I am 26 weeks, the baby's heartbeat sounded great.....I don't look great (YIKES)but I guess that is okay as long as we have a healthy baby boy.

Valentine's Day

Another day to let those know who you care about that you love them. Today, Cooper asked me if I would be his best friend? What a way to melt my heart as if he doesn't have my heart strings already?

Snow Man

Finally, Cooper is excited to build a snowman with his dad. He was not too fond of the deep snow at first but then started to throw snowballs at his dad and started to have fun. Dressing a 3 year old for the frigid 30 degree temperature reminds us of the movie Christmas story....see for yourself.

Snow Man II

Nursery

We had an ultrasound in January and found out that baby #2 is a boy, needless to say, there will not be any Granson girls...... It is hard to believe that I am 6 months and we will be having another baby boy soon. We are really looking forward to meeting this little guy. Cooper is really adapting to the thought of someone else to play with, he refers to the baby as "Turtle". I will post a picture of my belly soon, it really doesn't look much different than when I had Cooper. We decided to purchase some of the items that we needed for the nursery. Thanks to a ton of hard work by Jon over the weekend, we were able to somewhat finish the baby's nursery. The baby's room use to be Cooper's play room equipped with any type of toy you can think of, there was a ton of rearranging, but....here is the almost finished product after 2 very long days.

Cupcakes

Cooper and his love for baking doesn't help us with a healthy diet sometimes. I had promised Cooper a special treat since he has done really well at listening at home and at school so we decided to make brownies. Needless to say, I am not sure how many brownies this batch of batter made because Cooper was enjoying eating it before the brownies made it to the oven.

Cooper's First Eye Doctor Visit

Cooper's first eye doctor's visit went off without any problems. With Dr. Murray having three boys of his own it made it easy for him, he actually said that he really misses this stage as his boys are a little older now. Cooper's eye sight was 20/25, more than perfect vision. We pray that his vision stays perfect, however, with his genetics it is unlikely. Cooper really thought he was cool since he was able to wear oversized sunglasses and look at funky pictures in the mirror.
